There are
5 main reasons why your online appointment request may be denied . Please read
below:
1. All requests for an academic or education planning appointment require
students to have English and Math assessment scores and all previous
college transcripts on file and evaluated. If not, this will result in a
denial email which you will received within 24 hours of your appointment
request. If your are seeking a career appointment or personal appointment
your request will be accepted however, the counselor will not develop an
education plan; therefore make certain you are requesting the correct kind of
appointment.
2. You will be denied if you are not a current SDCCD
student. Even if you have taken classes in passed years you may still be
denied. In order to have an online appointment you must be registered in classes
in the current semester, or was registered the in most recent past semester.
It is not enough to simply submit an application, registration in classed is
required.
3. You will be denied if you have already signed up for an on campus appointment within two
weeks of your request for an online appointment. These
appointment slots are limited and in demand.
4. You did not keep your previously requested online appointments.
Students who miss at least two are restricted to
only on-campus
appointments for the rest of the semester. This is usually conveyed via
email. Once a new semester begins, you can once again seek an online
appointment; however you are strongly cautioned to keep your
appointments. These appointments are to support students who have
legitimate difficulty in getting to the campus. When you do not keep your
appointment you deny your fellow students an opportunity to be helped.
5. You will be denied if you do not provide enough, and correct information, when making your
appointment.
